Senior Transportation
Area agencies provide transportation assistance to older persons in getting to and from senior community centers, medical facilities, human service agencies and stores for shopping. Transportation is an extremely important service for the elderly. Older adults, even those receiving services at home, need transportation to doctors' offices, hospitals and to public agencies.
Transportation services arranged through the Area Agency on Aging may be subject to cost sharing, Contributions to the AAA are also appreciated. Transportation services provided by Potter County Human Services generally require at least one week advance notice.
The Area Transportation Authority (ATA) provides free fixed-route transportation services. This service most often is provided by busses or vans and fares are charged. ATA service is available during on-peak hours.
