Potter County Human Services is fortunate to have many caring individuals who volunteer their time and skills on behalf of our agency. Currently, about 550 unduplicated volunteers spend over 750 hours each month (or more than 9,000 hours per year) serving others. Even at minimum wage, that translates into over $46,000 per year that's being donated to human services programs by community members through their volunteer efforts. Volunteer work may be helpful for students who are required to have a "Senior Project" in high school.
Much appreciation goes to the many people who chose to invest their energy and talents in the lives of others by volunteering for PCHS programs or events. Join us today as an intern or volunteer.
To be considered for full time employment opportunities within the Potter County Human Services Organization, an applicant must first fill out a Civil Service Employment Application. More information on the Pennsylvania State Civil Service Commission can be found at the SCSC website.
If you are interested in becoming an intern for the Potter County Human Services organization, fill out an application and apply now! It's a great place to fulfill those community service requirements for graduation.
PCHS agency volunteers offer assistance to programs such as home delivered meals, senior centers, food banks, community needs assessments, and other special agency projects. Others land their expertise to PCHS programs through participation on the boards/committees which are required by our various program funding streams. In terms of human impact, volunteers help our staff serve children, the elderly, individuals with mental retardation or mental illness, those with drug or alcohol problems and many others.
Much appreciation goes to the many people who have chosen to invest their energy and talents in the lives of others by volunteering for PCHS programs or events! If you or someone you know would like to volunteer or do a student internship at Potter County Human Services, please contact us.
